THE ANNUAL GENERAL BODY MEETING OF DELHI MALAYALEE LATIN CATHOLIC ASSOCIATION MINUTES The Annual General Body Meeting of Delhi Malayalee Latin Catholic Association (DMLCA) was held on Sunday 21st September 2008 at Diocesan Community Centre, Gole Dak Khana, New Delhi. The function started with the Solemn concelebrated Mass presided over by Rev. Fr. Jaison, Spiritual Director of KRLCA, Kochi Zone. Rev. Fr. Biju Xavier, Spiritual Director of DMLCA, Rev. Frs. Johnson Kizhakkeveettil, George P.A., Sebastian OCD joined the Concelebrated Mass and the members of the association spread over the National Capital Territory of Delhi participated in the Holy Mass. It was followed by a tea break. The General Body Meeting started with prayer song by Mr. M. John, Vice President of DMLCA. Mr. K.S. Napoleon, President of DMLCA welcomed the audience and presented a glimpse of the achievements the association made during the years and expectations for the coming years. Then followed the lighting of the lamp that was shared by the special invitees and the office bearers of the Association. General Secretary, Mr.Kunjumon T.P., presented the Annual Report. As the Treasurer, Mr. Alphonse George was absent due to prior engagement, the accounts also presented by the secretary. The Report and Accounts were proposed by Mr. Sebastian Fernandes for passing and was supported by Mr. Aby Varghese. And the Report and Accounts were passed unanimously by the AGM. Rev. Fr. Jaison, the Chief Guest in his address explained the activities undertaken by the Kochi Unit of KRLCA and motivated the members for concerted efforts to strengthen the presence of DMLCA in Delhi. Spiritual Director Rev.Fr. Biju Xavier enthused the members with his plans to revive the activities of the association and expressed his willingness to give wholehearted support for the growth of the Association. The Chief Guest gave away cash awards to the students who scored highest marks in the Board exams in Class X & XII. The following students were given the awards: Xth Standard (1) Jesilta Pinheiro, Faridabad with 78% marks. (2) Joemon Johnson, Faridabad with 68% marks. XIIth Standard (1) Kavita George, Faridabad with 73% marks in Maths & Science streams (2) Cesvin Sebastian. In the Annual General Body Meeting two resolutions were submitted by Dr.K.M.Jacob and were passed: (1) The Annual Membership Fee has to be fixed as Rs.500/- or Rs.50/- per month. (2) It is proposed to begin a Chit Fund to inculcate the habit of saving among the members of the Association. It was a glorious moment for DMLCA to have its own website which was launched by Rev. Fr. Arnold David, with the following URL www.dmlcaonline.com There were some enchanting cultural items: Bharata Natyam: Tasha Joseph, Ankita Antony & Anusha Antony, Cinematic Dances: Twinkle Joy, Divya & Kesia, Anarin Lesslie; Light Music: Sachen Sebastian & Sneha Sebastian. The Annual General Body Meeting was concluded with the Vote of Thanks by Mr.Aby Varghese, Jt. Secretary, DMLCA. Finally there was the Onam Meals (Onasadhya).
